This site is an early look at something we've been building for a while: a game console that lives inside your phone, rendering its worlds entirely in glyphs.
Here's where things actually stand, because we'd rather under-promise:
- The console is real and in beta. The iOS app runs full cartridges today — a first-person shooter, a three-chapter fairy tale, a NetHack port — with 3D scenes, dynamic skies, local multiplayer, and a resident companion called the Superintendent.
- The studio exists and is heading for alpha. GlyphDeck Studio is a desktop app with a live simulator, a 3D viewport, sprite, map, and music editors, and a CLI. Every screenshot on the home page came out of its renderer.
- The developer program is coming. Anyone will be able to join, make games, and put them on real decks. Details and pricing when it opens — Discord first.
Next up: the Discord server opens, and TestFlight invites start flowing through it. After that, the studio alpha.
