A GlyphDeck console in indigo — thumbstick, four face buttons, shoulder triggers, and the Superintendent's readout below the screen

The display

Everything you just watched is type.

Not pixels filtered to look like text — a grid of glyphs is the frame buffer. Thirty-two colors, in-hue 3D lighting, dynamic skies, sixty frames a second, deterministic to the character on every device.

GladeTerrain, foliage, and a sky that moves
Saint George and the DragonMeshes, motion, and mounted combat
CinderellaThe same engine, turned gentle

Every screen on this page is a .glyphshot or .glyphreel— the console's frame buffer itself, one to three kilobytes a still, redrawn live at whatever size your browser is. Smaller than a PNG of the same picture, and it can never go stale against the engine.

The console

You buy it once. Then it's yours.

Not a subscription and not a launcher — a machine. It arrives with a serial number, in a finish you choose, and the back comes off if you want to see the chips. Scratches it picks up along the way do not buff out.
